CATTO SERIES
2025
The CATTO SERIES began with one illustration – a self-portrait of me with my cat, Muffin. That piece was the seed for the rest of the series, inspiring me to explore different cat personalities while keeping the same cozy, whimsical theme.

I wanted these illustrations to feel like they could live on someone’s wall, in a stationery set, or on a tote bag – but also to tell a little story about each cat. Every scarf pattern, flower petal, and facial expression was chosen to give the viewer a sense of character and charm.

The “Me & Muffin” piece remains my favorite because it feels like the heart of the collection. It’s a reminder that personal work can become a whole series – and that sharing a part of yourself in your art makes it more meaningful.
Color Palette:
Warm tones colors evoke comfort and familiarity. While cool contrasts like blue, green, yellow bring balance and make each character stand out against the heart motif.

Patterns and Textures:
The sunflower crown, scarf, and heart-shaped backdrop act as unifying visual anchors. Also, clean shapes and subtle textures to add depth without breaking the simplicity.

Emotional Connection:
Each cat’s expression is designed to suggest a personality trait – curious, calm, cheeky, regal, playful, mysterious.
The “Me & Muffin” piece ties the entire series to the artist’s personal life, creating authenticity and emotional resonance.
